“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed to see the goodness of The Lord in the land of the living.”

Psalms 27:13 (NKJV)

Today I turned 27 years old, and in the days leading up to today I’ve had a bit of time to reflect on what the past few years have been like for me: I graduated from college (2015), played professional basketball (2016), got married and bought my dream car (2017), and started this site (2018). Each one of those accomplishments taking a great amount of faith to manifest.

Authentic faith is consistent, meaning that it does not waver regardless of what the situation may look like. It’s a persistent belief that what you’re believing for will come to pass. I believe 2019 will be a prosperous year for those who persistently believe that they will see God’s goodness. But it’s not enough to just believe, authentic faith will always spark an action.

I once heard a quote,

“The wealthiest place in the world is not the gold mines of South America or the oil fields of Iraq or Iran. They are not the diamond mines of South Africa or the banks of the world. The wealthiest place on the planet is just down the road. It is the cemetery. There lie buried companies that were never started, inventions that were never made, bestselling books that were never written, and masterpieces that were never painted. In the cemetery is buried the greatest treasure of untapped potential.”

The time has come for us to consistently take steps toward achieving the things we want to see in our lives. It doesn’t matter if the first steps are small, because we all have to start somewhere. The only thing that matters is moving forward.

Happy New Year!
