“But despite Jesus’ instructions, the report of his power spread even faster, and vast crowds came to hear him preach and to be healed of their diseases. But Jesus often withdrew to the wilderness for prayer.”

Luke 5:15-16 (NLT)

My days usually start at 5am, and end at midnight. It feels like I’m always on the move, and it can be hard to have a moment to just relax at times. I’m sure many of you feel the same way. Lots of times we let the demands of every day life and the people around us pull us away from what’s truly important, which is spending time with God. Jesus often withdrew himself to commune with The Father and recharge for the tasks ahead.

We should be following Jesus’ example and making it a point to pull away from everyone and everything at times and drawing closer to God to recharge and learn his true will for our lives. Remember, a car with no gas won’t get far. So, begin to make time to fuel up on the regular.
