“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

Philippians 4:13 KJV

Restoring a car is no easy task. There are so many unexpected things that come up during the process which can slow you down or even halt your progress, if you let them. For example, when I bought the Camaro everything worked fine. It started up nice and smooth during the test drive and performed well when I got it home. About a week later, I stuck the key in and it didn’t start. Then I do it again and the alarm starts going off. I started reading the Camaro forums on the internet, trying to find a solution and came up with absolutely nothing. But I didn’t want to take it to a mechanic. I wanted to figure this out by myself. Two weeks had gone by and I was frustrated and wasn’t getting anywhere. I finally admitted that I couldn’t do this on my own, no matter how bad I wanted to…

It’s human nature for us to want to operate in an independent manner. We don’t want help from our friends, parents or even spouses. Sometimes we don’t even accept help from God himself. We want to be able to stand on the mountain top and say that we did it on our own. But why is that? I’ll tell you what the motivating factor is behind that, PRIDE! Our pride is what keeps us from progressing. Pride is one of the seven things God hates and it puts us in direct opposition with him. Therefore in order to be complete, we have to put our pride aside and allow God to operate through us so we can conquer every task that is placed before us.

  1. Good read my son. I see you have grown and I’m proud of you. Stay focus on the word and keep working on that car so you can get it out of my driveway 🙏🏾🙏🏾😂😂
